Strands was a joint exhibition of Oxfordshire Basketmakers and the Oxford Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. It was our first exhibition and took place at the X-Change Gallery in Oxford during November 2002. In naming it Strands, the two groups wanted to draw out common ideas of technique, materials, colour and purpose. The exhibition featured both traditional and innovative work with submissions from beginners through to professional makers.
