Material Conversations was an exhibition of work by members of Oxfordshire Basketmakers. It took place at The Sewell Centre Gallery, Radley College, Oxford during November and December 2022. The exhibition explored the idea that making baskets is a conversation between the maker and their materials. As always, members interpreted the title in different ways.

As part of the exhibition, Oxfordshire Basketmakers provided a range of basketry items and weaving materials for outreach projects involving local primary school children. The handling room collection was also used to encourage visitors to connect with the exhibition in different ways.
