OXFORDSHIRE BASKETMAKERS (AGM) ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, Committee and all members of OB

GUEST SPEAKER – Mollie McMillen has been invited to give a talk immediately after the main AGM business, in the Main Hall at the North Oxford Association Community Centre. The meeting is from 1pm – 4.30pm with the business part from 1pm to include the Chair’s report, Treasurer’s report and AOB. The talk by Mollie follows next, concluding with questions and then finally tea and cake to end the 2025 AGM meeting. 

Mollie McMillen Professional Basketmaker, bark and plant weaver. A guardian of the land, preserving and carrying forward traditional weaving techniques. Mollie will bring various materials, examples and samples for the group to handle. Additionally there will be some examples of her husband’s (Nick) bark work, explaining that they are of a different level as to how Mollie works and uses bark.

EVENT VENUE: North Oxford Association Community Centre, Diamond Place, Summertown, Oxford OX2 7DP

*The NOA has two council car parks on either side quite close by to the venue. Additionally, the Peartree Park & Ride is reasonably close by with a bus route (300) taking you directly along the Woodstock Road into the Summertown location, then a walk along Oakthorpe Road and then into Diamond Place to the venue.
