WILLOW PLANT SUPPORTS with THE STICKSMITH

Learn to weave your very own willow plant supports to grow your climbing plants in style with the StickSmith Dave Jackson: organic willow grower, coppicer and rural craft teacher.

In this endlessly useful full day workshop, you will be able to make up to two supports in the day, either two Obelisk plant supports or one obelisk plant support and one herbaceous dome.

These supports are very satisfying to make, practical in purpose, whilst adding a touch of charm to your garden.

All materials, tools and weaving jigs are provided but please bring a pair of secateurs if you have them and ensure you have the means to transport your finished items home afterwards.

About your tutor
Dave Jackson, aka The Stick Smith, has been weaving garden features from willow and hazel since 1998, starting his crafty journey as a volunteer officer for a conservation charity. Soon after setting up his business in 1999 he started teaching his craft to children with special needs, soon expanding to teach adults. Dave has now been teaching his craft for 25 years and loves showing people how to turn a bundle of humble sticks into beautiful objects with utility!
